A really nice area in the park. This is a good off-leash area for dogs. If you or your kids afraid of dog, may be you can stroll around the other side of the park. This is the perfect time taking some fall pictures here. There will be a lots of people taking pictures in fall on sunny days. It's not easy taking some dogs picture since most of the time they are running and busy. There were many ducks in the lake yesterday.

My dog and I love this little gem right in the heart of the city. I really wish they'd do something about the contaminated water though with some drainage system. The off- leash beach is great for the dogs. I love Trout Lake. Wonderful farmer's market every Saturday from May- October.

Everyone should put this location on their bucket list. Google Map may say it's 18 minutes away from Nanaimo Station, but it only takes 8-10 minutes. If you have kids and pets, this place will be the best for outdoor activities. Thank me after you feel what I felt🙃

So much goosebumps poop. Kids can't play. You cant lay anywhere at all around the park because of so much goose poop unfortunately. I remember when it was nice and swimmable years ago. The parks board has let it become disgusting. Do not recommend

Nice local park with a multiple paths around the lake. Lots of activities for everyone to do. Large off leash area for your furry friends. Come and enjoy the views around the lake. Local community center is in the park for your use. Multiple parking lots are available.
