This park is great!!! I definitely recommend coming here with a bike, the trails were made for biking, lots of jumps and down/uphills. It’s a fun hike too if you don’t mind some climbs. There used to be a water treatment facility here so you may see some old abandoned buildings from it. There is quite a bit of junk lying around but it seems like it’s all been there for decades. There are trails that go along Irondequoit Creek with Lucien Morin Park visible on the other side. Many deer, birds, frogs, etc here too.

Tryon Park Tryon Park was once a mothballed water treatment plant that preceded the Van Lare facility. After a little digging, I learned that there were literally too many “butts” for the system to handle at capacity—so the site was retired. Today, it’s a completely different story. The area is full of trails, well maintained by GROC, who do a fantastic job keeping things rideable and enjoyable year-round. The park connects nicely with East Bay Park, Lucien Moran Park, and Abraham Lincoln Park. With a little more exploring, you can even reach Ellison Park. It’s an excellent spot for dogs and walkers, and the trails roll down toward Irondequoit Creek—perfect for dogs to swim, and for people too if you’re feeling brave.

Beautiful park, but more for biking then walking, there are alot of steep hills that we had to detour around. Great if you want to a quiet hike. Beware of your surroundings, bikers may not see you, they can come around corners fast.

Hilly park and great for mountain biking just be careful with the small pieces of broken glass on the red trails, some seemed to be big enough to puncture a tire. Other than that trails were quite alright for steep hiking although a few were blocked off by fallen trees also there are no garbage cans at the parking area. There is a nice view of the swamp land before the bay.

For challenging mountain biking, this is one of the best locations in Rochester. There's variety in the terrain, but this isn't a great place for beginners. Wear your helmet. Steep ups and downs, roots, rocks and everything else. If the trail has an obstacle at the head, and you can't pass it on your bike, don't go on that trail. There are good flat sections out there too. There are walkers in the park, so be watchful and share the trails. Great views by the bay end. Check the map for details. Plenty of parking. Close to Bay Park West, another great spot.
