This hike has just about everything you could want. The boardwalk goes over marsh land where you can watch painted turtles sunbathing on cat tails and floating logs. You can watch the barn swallows fly around playing tag and doing barrel rolls mid air. If you're lucky you might even see the swans & their little ones paddle by. After this your path leads to a couple miles in shaded woods that eventually gives out to the great lake. You can grab a bite to eat or a beer at Pelicans nest or even bill grays on the water.

Great park for walking, very icy today you need microspikes.

Beautiful nature area with trails and a 2/3 mile long boardwalk over the Genesee River for walking, hiking or cycling. Lots of wildlife, especially birds and turtles. Something interesting to see in every season.

We went to this falls two times, one by foot walking along the boardwalk. Another time by riding the bike on the boardwalk all the way to the lighthouse. We saw people fishing on the shore. Both the view in the afternoon and the view in the evening are beautiful and very peaceful. Riding the bike makes it less tiring but could go all the way to the lighthouse. It is very easy to ride there as it is wide and pretty flat. I recoomend this place if you are going to Rochester, N.Y. We also saw a beaver swimming. The parking lot close the gate when sunset around 8-830 in Aug. make sure don't come back to the parking lot too late, the gate will lock and you will not get your car out.

The great board walk, with scenic views, lot of wild activity. And dog friendly. You can do fishing as well.
