Nice little trail. Not sure if its ok to walk on the grass?? I felt like I would get in trouble if I let my son walk off the sidewalk lol

This is a nice park for taking your dog if you want paved trails. Tustin Legacy Park has parking and restrooms, which is a must for me in this day and age for any park. I just happened to be in the area and my dog needed a break and so did I. Not far off the 55 freeway, really its located more like Irvine than Tustin.

Bark Barracks is an amazing spot for dog owners and their furry companions! This park is incredibly spacious, giving dogs plenty of room to run, play, and just be happy. One of the things we love most is how well-thought-out the layout is—there are designated off-leash areas where pups can roam freely, as well as fenced-in sections for those who prefer a little more structure. Plus, there are plenty of spots to sit, restrooms nearby, and even places to grab a bite to eat, which makes it convenient for both pets and their humans. Another huge perk is the surrounding walking trails. If your pup has endless energy, these paths are a fantastic way to get them moving and guarantee a good nap later! That said, one thing to keep in mind is the weather. Since there aren’t a lot of shaded areas, it’s important to be mindful of when you visit—especially during the hotter months. On high UV days, it can get pretty warm, so bringing extra water and planning visits earlier or later in the day can make a big difference. If we could offer any positive recommendations, adding more shaded areas would be a fantastic upgrade to keep pups cool when they need a break. Also, a few extra water stations throughout the park would be a great addition for both dogs and their owners. Overall, this is such a wonderful place to bring your dog. It’s well-maintained, has a great atmosphere, and provides the perfect space for dogs to socialize and burn off some energy. We absolutely recommend it—just plan ahead for those warm days, and you and your pup will have an amazing time!

We love getting out and about with our beagles. I love living in a city that has great outdoor green space! I have waited for the foliage to grow in this space, and it's getting there! Lots of walking paths, some concrete, some gravel. It's in a great location and close to everything. I especially liked that it was quiet and not crowded.

This review is for whoever controls access to the dog park. They need to do better. Each time after even a light drizzle, they lock the doors for the dog park for a few days. Most of the times, there are no signs posted around the park that dog park is closed and until when. The few times that they post a flyer right next to dog park's entrance, they never honor the time they say they will open. Looks like some random employee locks the doors and disappears and just reopens whenever they like it. And they have posted a phone number to call with questions about the dog park, but no one has ever responded to my calls to that number. They just need to do better at Bark Barracks.
