A little piece of untouched nature, a great place to disconnect. And this place has so many birds, you kind of unintentionally turn into a bird watcher 😅. It connects conveniently to the river trail.

This is a wonderful hike in the evenings.
Parking is limited.
The nature walk offers different scenery as well as educational signs for the plants you are looking at.
I really enjoyed seeing the wildlife, flowers, plants, and trees.
As soon as the sun set, the mosquitoes attacked, so be sure to be prepared for the bites if you go in the evenings.
Overall, 5 star nature walk.

Ulistac Natural Area is a wonderful spot for a relaxing walk in Santa Clara. We enjoyed wandering through the park, which felt like a peaceful retreat from the city. The trails are flat and easy, making it ideal for a leisurely stroll, whether alone or with company. You’ll see people with binoculars bird watching, and it’s no surprise, there’s a lively variety of birds, like sparrows and woodpeckers, flitting around, thanks to the park’s location along the Guadalupe River. The wildflowers, like California lilacs and orange poppies, add stunning bursts of color, especially in spring, making it a fantastic spot for photography. I loved taking pictures of the blooms and scenic views. The atmosphere is calm, with diverse habitats like oak woodlands and grasslands that keep the scenery interesting. It’s a well-maintained, community-driven space with native plants and a butterfly garden. Ulistac is perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy a walk, spot birds, or snap great photos.

It was a fun and great afternoon walk. The weather of the day when I visited was warm around 21°C or 70F. A light breeze felt so nice , especially under the shade.
The place itself is beautiful. The spring colors are clearly visible with multiple flowers and colorful trees. The natural open space is great for walking, jogging, strolling, bicycling and running. Bird watching, butterfly watching and bee watching are another things to dedicate time to while you are there. The place is abundant in the species of flora and fauna. It stimulates you with eye catching colors, serene views and calming sounds . Birds chirping, bees humming and winds rustling leaves make for a really nice getaway from the human society. The wild colorful flowers and shrubs add to the experience.
Great place to just get a lunch sit under a shady tree and enjoy , or just bring over a nice book , sit and enjoy.
Parking is street parking, but easy enough to find. It feels more a maze and a criss-cross of different kind of habitats in California. Definitely a nice place to visit if you are in the neighborhood or just looking for a casual walk in the nature.
