Oh, you've got to be kidding me! I've stomped around plenty of parks with these canines, and let me tell you, this one's a real letdown and it's about as welcoming as a growl from a grumpy bulldog. The grass? Patchy. The flowers? You might as well call them duds. And the trees? Don't even get me started. What little shade they provide might be a joke on a hot day. The whole place is supposed to be this charming little getaway, but it's more like a rundown backyard that nobody bothers to tidy up. Picnic? Forget it. Stroll? It's more like navigating through neglect. Want to read a book in peace? Good luck with that, because the only thing you'll be reading is the disappointment on every visitor's face! And the amenities? What a joke! The playground is a pitiful sight with its worn-out swings and slides that have clearly seen better days. The children have little to enjoy. And the dog park? As a dog walker, I can only describe it as a cramped, uninspiring space that segregates our furry friends by size. It's not freedom. It's confinement! And despite the supposed waste disposal stations, they are always dirty. The trash bins overflow, and it's a game of dodging the litter. Parking is a nightmare, a true test of luck with just a few street spaces available. And the restrooms? It's a horror story best left untold. The limited shade, where it's most needed, adds to the frustration. It's a recipe for a midday meltdown for the little ones and our furry companions. Overall, University Park is a flop. It could seriously use a revamp from someone who actually cares about creating an inviting space. Right now, it's just wasted potential and a lot of frustration. Walking dogs here is more of a chore than a pleasure, and that's saying something because these furry friends usually make any walk enjoyable. Not here, not at University Park!

A big park with lots of open space. It also has a huge fenced in area for dogs to run and play. There were a couple of scuffles on the day I went, so I don't allow my dog to play. But still a nice spot.

No restrooms, so it isn't too kid friendly. Random will be spotted peeing behind a tree or something. Sprinklers turn on here or there, I guess they are testing but its been going for weeks. Nice park overall, good for dogs and running around for exercise. Youll find teams of all kinds take on the open fields, be ready for that.

Loads of room to run, but the park remains flooded days after a rain. This is our go to dog park due to its large size. The park usually has a few sets of dogs and owners after 5pm in the summer, but the crowds usually come out later in the evening or early morning.

Just in case you wanted to know, if one walks 5 laps around the dog park fence-line that would be approximately 1 mile. Also, two laps around the whole park is well over 1 mile.
