Large off leash fenced area. Large hill and small wooded area for dogs who like to run. There is plenty of space for them. Water bowls, poop bags, and a covered area!! This is where we always take our boys. Patrons are usually very friendly and dogs alhave been mostly well behaved.

❄️ Valley Street Dog Park: Austin’s Official Snow‑Day Report Filed by: Austin “The Frost‑Tipped Rocket” Let me tell you something, human. Valley Street Dog Park in the snow? That’s not a park. That’s a festival of paws, a winter racetrack, a social event of the season where every dog shows up wearing their fluffiest coat and their fastest legs. 🐾 First Impressions: Snow = GO MODE The second my paws hit the powder, I activated my turbo mode. The whole park was covered in soft, sparkly snow — the kind that sticks to your whiskers and makes you look ten percent more distinguished. 🐶 New Friends: Unlimited Supply I met: - A husky who thought he was in the Iditarod - A doodle who ran like a shopping cart with one wobbly wheel - A tiny chihuahua in a puffer coat who barked like he owned the deed to the park We all agreed on one thing: chase first, introductions later. 🏃 Chasing Stats (Verified by Tail Wagging) - Laps completed: Many - Friends chased: All of them - Times I slipped and pretended it was on purpose: Zero (I am grace) - Times I got snow on my nose: Too many, but I looked adorable 🌨️ Snow Quality: Chef’s Kiss Perfect for: - Zoomies - Dramatic skids - Face‑first dives - Leaving pawprint art installations 👤 Human Behavior: Acceptable, if Slow My human kept saying things like “Austin, wait” and “Austin, come back,” which I interpreted as “Austin, run faster, you majestic creature.” So I did. 🐕 Final Verdict Five out of five frosty tail wags. Valley Street Dog Park in the snow is where legends are made, friendships are forged, and every dog becomes a snow‑powered athlete.

This park needs some care from parks & rec. The entrance area and shade structure reeks of pee. It's not bad further in, but much of the grass is also worn away near the entrance. The fenced area includes the wooded hillside with a trail across the top that could get very slippery in rain or ice. This park does have two spigots for water as well as bags and trash. Benches are scattered around the space, both in the lower, cleared section and on the wooded hillside. No separate sections for different sized dogs. The people were remarkably standoffish though.

I love how spacious it is! There are water bowls there plus, a tub for in the summer when it’s hot. There are benches for the pet owners to sit on. Lots of balls already there if you forgot yours. I’ve been there twice and it’s nice that most of dogs are playing kindly.

Firstly, I love this park, and so does Luna! 99% of the dogs are well socialized and the owners are attentive/ready to jump in if needed. SECONDLY, if you have an aggressive dog, or you are hoping to let your dog run wild unsupervised, DO NOT COME HERE! Like I said 99% of the dogs and owners here are wonderful, but this is not the place to bring a serious biter. There are great resources in the area to work on dog-reactive animals, but Luna's face is not your dog's chew toy. Shoutouts to Ruby, Luca, Amond, the other Luna, and Memphis 🤍
