Hidden Gem of a Park Vellano Park is a beautiful and peaceful spot — truly a hidden gem. There’s a great play area for younger kids, scenic trails, and plenty of open space to run around or relax. You’ll find pickleball courts, clean public restrooms, and even a large area that’s perfect for parties or receptions. It’s also great for photo ops with its natural surroundings. Despite all it offers, the park is never overly crowded, making it a perfect place to unwind or host a low-key gathering. Highly recommend!

EDIT 3/21/24: They have lights at night, and they last until 10pm! Came for pickleball and was delighted at how active the community was. No lights for night time, but that will be installed sometime in march 2023. Courts are nice and well kept. There is bathroom access but it's a 3 min walk from the court. Not a lot of parking if there are 20+ cars.

Not a ton of flat grass area for kids to run around on, but there's a small playground, full basketball court, picnic area, restrooms, and four pickleball courts. Parking lot is usually full during the evenings, but you can park along the street right outside of the lot. Pickleball is public open play all the time. No challenger courts. Four off if there are at least 3 people in queue. If there are only 1 or 2 in queue, then winner stays and losers off. It can get pretty packed usually by 7pm, with 8 people waiting to play on each court. Everyone is pretty friendly, as there are a lot of beginners and lower level players here. There are only maybe 3 higher level players here on any given night. Mornings tend to have players in a higher age range, whereas evening tends to skew towards middle age and younger.

Great pickleball courts! First time visiting for an event. Need more parking space for special pickleball tournaments though.

Park with an elegant atmosphere. The scent of jasmine on both sides of the sidewalk was pleasant.
