Despite this park being right next to—or even in front of—the police department, it still feels very sketchy. You have to be aware of your surroundings. I’ve visited a couple of times and had to leave immediately because there were people acting suspiciously and getting uncomfortably close. It’s unfortunate, especially with the police department so nearby. I would not recommend bringing children here.

I have only been to this park twice, and both times my toddler had loads of fun! There's a nice, large grassy area to kick a ball around or play catch, maybe even throw a frisbee. There are a couple gazebos and a few benches to sit and relax also. Lots of trees so it's nice and shady on a hot day. It's usually rather peaceful, even with the Metro passing by. The playground is set up like a pirate ship which is pretty cool. There's a wheel to steer the ship, port holes to climb through, a slide, things to climb and lots of sand. The monument is really nice. Great homage to veterans who have sacrificed so much. I love that I can show this to my toddler and start teaching him to show appreciation for our vets. The restroom is by the playground and I haven't seen it extremely filthy yet; it's been fairly tidy any time I have used it. There's also a water fountain near the restroom. Parking has been easy any time I've gone there. There is a parking lot and street parking available too.

Nice park right next to the library, has a small area for kids to play. I have only been a couple of times but enjoyed a picnic with friends. They have a couple of tables under covered area. Lots of grass to run around for pets and kids.

There is a great library there, the park is nice, but there was a woman that i met yesterday that told me that she was hanging around people who do meth which raises a concern 4 safety 4 the youth and other's who attend that park. I guess they were homeless and have issues with substance abuse which i pray that God helps them with their housing situation and drug issues. Overall it is a nice park.

Yeah there's homeless but they dont bother no one. Little park across from the police station and a nice city library. Large field for party games, good for weekends or casual strolls. Just your average park
