I discovered this Veterans Park located in Lauderhill while visiting a nearby thrift store. You can find it off of University Drive in the middle of a nicely kept neighborhood. A large exterior fence surrounds the park which seems unusual compared to the the typical open Florida park but when I found out the park has a pool it makes sense. They need to keep it extra secure to make sure kids don't get in and possibly drown. The pool area has an additional fence around it. The pool is open Monday to Friday: 2:00pm to 6:30pm, Saturday: 10:00am to 4:00pm, and closed Sunday. There is a discounted admission for Lauderhill residents. Group and private swim lessons are offered throughout the year. Other park amenities include rest room, sports fields, batting cage, benches, center with recently updated indoor gym and meeting rooms, and picnic pavilions with grill. There is also a public art piece celebrating the sacrifices of veterans. This park serves as a community gathering place for people to exercise, play, and picnic. It is wonderful that the city is promoting swim lessons for the residents of Lauderhill.

Very nice park with a wide range of activities to entertain our little ones or going on a good jog / walk / run 🏃🏾‍♀️.

Ok park. Fun dance class on Mondays. The playground is small but usually good since it's never too busy. Been coming here a long time. Today some strange Karen decided she didn't want me to take my children to the restroom or get water unless we went inside to sign in & go through some long crazy process. Never been an issue before. She said it's because the pill is here. The pool has always been here & I've never been stopped to use the restroom. It's giving... Karen. 🙄. Not to mention, I'm a resident here & there's usually a line to check in.

Park is relatively small with a small playground area. Would look elsewhere

Playground could use some upgrading, one swing has been broken for a while, but it's a nice park. Has a soccer and baseball field.
