We passed by Wagbar on our way to our Airbnb and just knew we had to visit. So many happy dogs playing, my dog was anxious to join everytime we passed by. I love that they take being up to date on vaccines serious. We were greeted by what I called the "Welcome committee" consisting of 3 huge golden retrievers. Got inside, ordered a few drinks and set Stash free. He was right away accepted into the group of dogs playing and shown around. Not only were all the dogs friendly and very social, but their owners were as well. Great conversations were had. Absolutely recommend this place. The employee working that day(can't remember her name) was amazing with the dogs. She took notice anytime the dogs were "bored". She would come out and entice them to play around. Hilarious seeing the regulars reaction to her approach because they KNEW what was up haha! Can't wait to visit again when we are in town.

This is an outdoor partially covered wonderland for dogs and humans!! Seriously if you are in Asheville or coming through 26 from TN, it’s the best spot to let your dog play and take a driving break! I’m local and I love Tuesday Trivia Nights.

My husband and I were visiting Asheville for our anniversary and we had our cute pups with us so they can have fun on the trip, too! We’ve never been to this place before nor have we heard of it. So we were excited to visit. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment and disgusted. The staff that worked there was not only rude but he embarrassed us. We tried to explain him that our dog was a little nervous bc it was a new place. Our outgoing one was already off the leash and was playing. But, the shy one took a minute to adjust. As we was getting ready to take her leash off, the staff yelled out if we didn’t take her leash off, we had to leave. Granted we were even there for 10 minutes. We took her leash off and let her and her sibling play and we left. After this experience, we will never go back.

A wonderful place to go for beers with my family as their dog ran and played with a bunch other dogs. Professional and friendly staff. I wish we had one of these in Monterey.

Best place ever for you and your pups. Period. If you don’t come with doggies, it’s free, but if you love it like we do ask about the monthly pass. Honestly, I was not a big fan of dogs until we started coming here with our relatives. It changed my mind! The dogs are super friendly: some just want to lie on the tables with their people while others are in a high speed group or playing in the water or in the separate hill with its own picnic tables. Love the staff. They all love dogs, know their names, are really good at maintaining a happy playground. With a dog that might be difficult to get back into the car, I’ve seen the staff walk out to the car with an elderly owner. Rotating taps are top flight local craft brews, but they also have soda and herbal bevs in cans. Trivia, music trivia, musicians , breed parties, it is a fun place to be. Bottom line: for a nice time out with your friends, human and dog, this is the best greater Asheville has to offer.
