Overall, this is a great dog park and I’ve really enjoyed bringing my dog here. However, on August 16, 2025, my dog was attacked by a brown pit bull named Zeus, owned by Mariana, and suffered a serious leg fracture that required emergency care and surgery. What’s most concerning is that I learned Animal Control has no authority to issue citations or ban aggressive dogs, so Zeus could return to the park. Overall, the dog park itself is great, but I wanted to make other dog owners aware so you can be extra cautious.

Lovely dog park! Beautifully manicured, soft grass. Covered metal picnic table. A TON of poo bag stations available for people to clean up after their dogs, I just wish more people would utilize them. I picked up at least 10 piles scattered all throughout the dog park (on top of the 3 piles from my own dogs). DO BETTER AND APPRECIATE WHAT THE CITY HAS PROVIDED Y'ALL! Great place to toss a ball, throw a frisbee, or just let your dog(s) run and sniff. Bathrooms located in a building near the entrance to the large dog park. Lots of parking, too!

I have been to this location twice. The first time I took my puppy, there were small and large dogs in the same gated area. I was okay with it because it was just 2 large dogs and all others was small dogs. My dog enjoyed it. They need to have a sign on the gates to separate the two, one sign on the gate for large dogs over 30 lbs and on have another gate for small dogs 30 lbs and under. Because the second time I came. Walking up to the gate I noticed only 1 other small dog, then several large dogs ran towards the gate as I was opening it, so I closed it back. They were two pit bulls, Sherman shepherd and rock waller. We did not enter. We stood outside of the gate looking in. The other small dog started running down the grounds and one of the large dog attacked him, the owners had to run down the to the ground to stop the dog and get her puppy, she was carrying him back. I don't know how bad the dog was hurt, after seeing that we left.

Love this place! So much better than the old one. The only negatives is I wish they had a second water fountain for the large dog park on the opposite side, up on the hill so we didn't have to convince our dogs to go to the other side to drink. And of course, the never-ending problem of people who don't pick up after their dogs. But my dogs love the park and go their often!
