One of the most beautiful parks in the area. Magnolias take the center stage, but coast redwoods, firs, cypress, oak, and hemlock round it out. It rivals the better-known Hendricks Park rhododendron grove in Eugene for beauty when in bloom. Plenty of benches and picnic tables spaced around the main walk loop. Lots of open space for kids to play (no playground, though.) The park was severely damaged during Icemageddon 2024, but looks set to recover nicely.

I discovered this little magnolia park near me one day. There’s a small parking lot, little bridge over a creek, then a paved path which takes about 10 mins to walk. You can read about the history. Many plants to look at, especially varieties of magnolias. A quiet place to walk alone or draw, talk with with friends. There’re few benches & picnic tables & portable bathrooms. Pros: magnolias, other plants, quiet. Cons: small park. Update: Jan 15, '24 ice storm damaged branches of some trees but the blooms are still beautiful!

Beautiful, peaceful. A couple picnic tables to enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by blooming magnolia trees!😊
