The western part of the park is dominated by lawns and offers little shade. that said, the playground and dog park are under live oaks that make for a nice scenery and provide plenty of share. If you want to walk a loop, you have to leave the park for a couple hundred yards and it's northern border. It's not all bad because the American Village is right across the street. The eastern part of the park has more trails in the woods and you can leave the asphalted trail and take a dirt path a little deeper in the woods. A solid, surprisingly large park that should add trail connections on its southern and northern boundaries to allow for a loop walk.

We love coming here to bike and enjoy the outdoors. We also went to the botanical gardens across the road. The only thing I would suggest is more crosswalks and install a pedestrian crossing and crossing light to the botanical gardens. People fly down that road and don’t stop.

Amazing park to walk, jog around or just enjoy the view, the air and the natural surroundings! Today was a bit cold 48F for Floridians but the view and the walk with my dog was amazing! Definitely worth it for an outdoor time!

November 2, 2025 Fletcher and I walked a portion of the trail that takes you around the lake, lovely park, and dog 🐕 walking trail! Also saw tons of blue jays which was nice! And I saw they have a free mulch area that is cool!

Great trail for all activities. the path is in partial sun, it has sporadic bbq grills/ picnic areas, bathrooms, playground areas, a dog park and beautiful water views.
