Absolutely beautiful park! Lots of areas for kids to play in the playground area. Walking trails, beautiful scenery, picnic tables...There was so much area to explore! Very safe area. Well worth the stop as we traveled through!

Washington Park Botanical Gardens in Springfield is a true gem! The walking trails are perfect for a leisurely stroll, winding through beautifully maintained flower gardens. Such a vibrant display of colors and varieties. It's a wonderful place to escape the city bustle and find some tranquility. Plus, the shade from the trees provides a welcome relief from the summer heat. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area and looking for a peaceful outdoor experience. The gardens are so well cared for and offer something beautiful to see in every season, making it a fantastic spot to reconnect with nature.

This is a beautiful park. I was visiting this city and wanted a safe park to walk in. This was recommended by a local. It truly is a beautiful park.

Was really hoping to get to experience the greenhouse(s) and other possible fun things inside. But it may be off season (or maybe that’s not a “thing”). The Frog and the Toad exhibit in the adjacent space was fun though. And tulips were in bloom. We came too early for many of the other plants and flowers though (early April).

Delightful experience. Wide paved paths with beautifully planted container and inground displays. Plenty of shady areas and bench seating. I'd recommend coming and sitting with a book or handcraft. Very peaceful. Easy parking. Flush toilets in visitor center. Even few sunbathers today. Great picnic spot! Today, the rose garden looked shabby... but it has been hot.
