About a 1.5-hour trail, it's very intense with steep hills. You can't really see the lake from the top, and there's limited street parking.

The only thing that should be noted. Parking alongside trail entrance is very limited. I just better off park in the parking lot for Lake Forest Park then walk down to the hike. Other than that, it is gorgeous with several elevation gains. Trail is well maintained. Trail descriptions a little hard to follow. Other than that as described waterfalls beautiful greenery lovely Park.

Beautiful park full of hills. When I went there, the day was hot and dry so I could not enjoy any sight of water, but the tall trees brought a very welcomed shade. The hills might be a bit too ambitious for the younger kids (or the complaining ones) that are not keen on getting their heart rates up. However, for adults that are looking for an adventure that does not feel like a flat-leveled park, those grounds could bring satisfaction. A word of wisdom: wear shoes that are comfortable due to very soft and mulchy ground that is truly dusty. The dust will cover your shoes and climb up nearly to your knees on a dry day so prepare yourself to take shower and to do laundry afterwards :)

Very nice for a morning or afternoon power walk! The reason why I said power walk because you gonna go through tons of steep hills! Up-down! But it’s all worth it. It’s crazy that this park and waterfall is so close to the city! I am not sure why I would rate it anything less then a 5. It’s perfect for your daily movement. Cool off the stress get some air in the nature at your backyard!

These 88 acres of well kept trails is an absolute gem of flat and steep trails, lush forest, water falls and all types of flora. Depending on the time of day and year, you can spot all sorts of wildlife: owls, bald eagles, deer, bucks, fawns, bobcats, mountain beavers, mother ducks and her clutch, and the dogs who let their humans run free and unleashed. There are two spots with a picnic tablas so it can be fun to escape there for lunch. If you like treasure hunting there is a geocache or two you find.
