This is such a special park, too bad the city of Columbus is allergic to nature and wants to turn it into pickleball and basketball courts. You’re allowed to walk your dog off leash here if they are not aggressive and do well under command, so I’ve collected so many great memories here with my dog. It brings me so much joy to see how much fun she has here, exploring the field and running around with her friends. After a stressful day of work, I get to walk around this field too. This place is filled with wildlife, rabbits, field mice, coyotes, deer, and all kinds of birds including hawks and I even saw a bald eagle! Because this field is not treated with any pesticides, there are a lot of ticks in the spring summer time. But because it’s not treated, all the fireflies come out in the summer evening and their flashes light up the field, it really is so magical. Unfortunately the city of Columbus wants to turn this into a park with pickleball courts and basketball courts, because we certainly don’t have enough of those in the city already 🙄
This is my dog’s favorite park!! If you full control of your dog (through recall), you can let them off the leash. My dog has also never gotten any ticks here. The paths are well taken care of and it’s cool to see the planes taking off from OSU!
This park is still in it's planning stage. It's mainly 60 acres of weeds with hiking paths mowed through them. This was an OSU sheep farm. No work is being done yet to get it into what will be hopefully a very nice park
If you love to see small jet and single-engine plane take-off and landing well this is the place for you! I love seeing the plane! This is might be the smallest park in the Columbus Dublin area! Well my kids love this spot! Not bad at all! Also good for pet
I love walking here. We come here daily! Love to see the nature and the clouds. The small plans flying in and out of the airport. Lots of nature here from all sorts of bunnies and chipmunks and large ravens and Hawks flying by.
When Google exported structured hours, they’re surfaced here instead of being buried in the raw payload.
