Westwind Park

Great neighborhood park with a half mile paved path encircling the soccer field, tennis courts, volleyball, a small baseball area, and playground. It’s partly shaded with bathroom facilities available and lots of benches/picnic tables.

My Dad and I felt like getting out of our Hotel to enjoy a park since we were on Vacation for the Winter Classic

This review is (mainly) For Recreational Leader Gigi, I liked to Recognized Her CONSISTENCY while working at Westwind Park!!! And also mentioned a few observations. We have been goin to Westwind park for about 4 years, and Gigi has been the GREATEST! She always makes sure to check outside the perimeters of the premisses, specially when there is kid's from Piper High (making sure they do not engage in fights or what not). She has come out and helped before while some teens were being very disrespectful in front of my kid's at the playground area. She opens/closes the side gates at the time she should (other staff do not open on time and close the side gates way earlier) Gigi is always in a great mood, and as a Mother I can tell you Me and My kid's like to go to the park when we know she will be there (usually weekend's) cause we know she keeps the place SAFE and In line. I would like to make a kind suggestion, I think it would be nice to add a table/bench outside the office (under the over-hang) and maybe the rest of the staff members would be that way invited to sit outside and check the area like Gigi does. :) And a kind observation, I was informed workers do pick up the trash before they mowed the lawn, however I have noticed TONS of trash by the Basket-ball court and by the lake/field. I personally have gone and picked up the trash around, cause the place has been looking like a 'Dump'. So please, have people do some actual work and keep the place clean. It took me less than 1 hour to pick the litter off the ground/lake/courts. So if me and my kid did it... So can the employees that are gettin paid for a job they are NOT doing.

The city management has finally had stadium lights erected for nighttime tennis play. Thank you for following through with promises made.
