First time being down this way. Has wheelchair access to thr walkway. Parking sucks on the side up the hill. Not really handicapped parking. This was our 3rd stop of the day for fishing with my son.
I walked my dog along the river on a beautiful day. I saw some beautiful scenery and a blue Heron. It was very relaxing walking along the water.
Very nice walking path and parks! Note: Not well lit or observable in some areas- some people may want to avoid low light times of the day and walk with a buddy (no matter where you are- not just here,) if you can't handle yourself well. VERY pretty in October / the Fall, with a wide variety of tree species and color to go with it. Parking at the most western end is a bit limited- but if you enjoy fitness walks, this is a great route that'll eventually get you close to Muncie downtown and shopping / places to grab a bite. I REALLY enjoy this riverside trail!!! (White River) I strongly encourage you to go for fitness and a pretty serene experience considering the noise in the not so distant area. As a tourist, this was a great experience for me that I'll continue to enjoy for the weeks I stay!
Cute little park in Muncie. The trail by the river extends for many, many miles, and passes right by this nice park. Great for a simple picnic, a long walk/bike ride, or to take the family to play on the playgrounds a bit! It was clean and had public restrooms. Good to have in the city.
The park and trail are kept up well and it's nice to still be able to have somewhere to relax outside and walk, especially when Covid happened. Now that Covid has finally calmed down some, it's refreshing to see people going on walks again.
