My dogs love this park and so do we. The Google maps location is kind of off. First put NWWC in the map. Once you get on the main part put in off-leash. This will prevent you for making the same mistake we did 2 times when it sent us to a non-public access service dirt road at the southern corner of the park. You must got through the main gate at National Whitewater Center.

The best dog park in Charlotte, maybe even North Carolina. Miles of trails that all connect so you dont have to walk the whole loop if you don't want. Fresh water spots just inside the park with bowls so no having to refill buckets. Agility sections and even a normal fenced in patch of grass if the scale of the park is intimidating at first.

We had an amazing time with our pup while visiting the area for the weekend. So many comments from others about how pretty she is and how well behaved she is. I was impressed that most of the owners were very cognizant of their dogs and their behavior. The holders were my favorite. Every single one took giant leaping plunges into the water. Especially when a ball was involved. Love the off leash aspect. We felt safe and comfortable here. If we lived locally we would 100% get an annual pass. Maybe a reason to move here??? 😀

Great spot for dog owners to allow their pups to run free and wild. All with a beer in hand (if you so choose). A very impressive setup that allows dogs of all sizes to run, swim, smell, and wander about off-leash. It's a great mixing spot for dog owners as well. It's only $10/dog for a daily pass. Surprisingly, with as many dogs that were there on a Saturday they all seemed to get along; most owners seemed quite courteous and watchful of their dogs as well. Parking is a 2 minute drive further from the main parking area and there's a facility with bathrooms as well as beer/wine and light snacks.

I recently visited this off-leash dog park with my furry friend, and we had a fantastic time! The park's spacious grounds and multiple play areas allowed my dog to run around and socialize with other dogs. The park's ponds and trails added an extra layer of excitement for my pup. However, the $22 total cost for parking and admission might be a bit steep for some pet owners. Despite the price, the park's cleanliness and well-maintained facilities made for a pleasant experience. If you're looking for a fun off-leash dog park and don't mind the cost, this one is worth checking out.
