While the park could use some love I love Wickes.
Kind of trashy. Lots of logs to lose your bait on. Caught 3 catfish. But was looking for walleye.
Secluded. Large parking area. Has place to launch paddle boat. Looks like great spot to fish. Also has paved bike trails along river.
Would have been a wonderful evening fishing until a lady in a white SUV Cadillac, let her 4 kids throw logs into the river. Will not go back, not getting my hooks snagged on them. Mother was on the phone when I left, hate to see what their house and yard looks like.....a shame.....
Wish people would keep it clean and throw there trash away.. I usually pickup a few pieces of trash when I stop by.. Good walleye fishing area
