If I were a runner or bike rider, I’d love this spot. But the views you see in the photos are infrequent and the biting flies and mosquitos are BRUTAL even in December. Not the most pleasant walk. If there was a stronger breeze, it could have been nice enough.

We love this trail ! Even though can get tough due to the humidity is still a good trail . We saw many crabs, also we got lucky enough to se an otter and many dragonflies. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

Dog friendly: yes Bring your own water. Two mile loop trail is like a service road between the mangroves. It is flat and wide. There are one or two places where you can see out to the water. There are two benches. There is a pier where you can look out over the water. Parking is free with your state park pass. I met one other person with a dog on the trail. This park is similar to nearby Jack Island.

Fairly level, wide, sandy trail. Little shade or breeze. Lots of crabs. Use insect repellant. Mosquitos are plenty. Bring water for this 3.1 mile trail.

I'm always looking for new places to hike and also fish. This is definitely on the top of my list. Also, it's near Jack island - also another great hiking/biking trail.
