The grass has a lot of gofer holes but for a neighborhood park it’s a beautiful place

A large park that is 90% grass and 10% playground. Sometimes during the year the grass can be a little dead in spots but it is almost always mowed well. The playground was revamped years ago and it is much better despite the lack of monkey bars. It's empty 80% of the time so it's a good place for picnics or playing baseball with some pals. There are no bathrooms but a few water fountains. I live close to the park so avoid the park at night. (Past 9) There's either a bunch of men smoking at night and some sort of deal going on around it almost nightly.

My kids have definitely enjoyed this playground A LOT more since they have remodeled and updated the equipment. And the surrounding neighbors have cracked down on any homeless people loitering, and sleeping at this location. Which is a DRASTIC change from when I was a kid. And with all that said, this park has never been overcrowded in my experience, which is a huge perk in my opinion, because it allows me to take my dog with no leash and no worries. But!! I would love to get the community on board with trying to persuade, Jurupa Valley's Parks and Recreations department to build additional equipment for the kids, or even an allocated section for dogs only, with dog friendly equipment.

Though this is just a small, neighborhood park, there's lots you can do here. It has a large, open grassy area where you could get a soccer game going, or softball, or football. I like to bring my golf clubs here to work on my slice, or just hit a few balls to keep from getting rusty! They have a couple of covered picnic tables, each has a bbq grill close by. There is a nice, modern playground area complete with swing set for the kiddies, and they thoughtfully added a few park benches so the adults can take a load off while supervising the children. And there are several fine shade trees with soft, green grass to lay out on and relax. My only complaint is the lack of a restroom. You could spend a few hours here if you can hold it that long!
