Really amazing park. A beautiful place to walk. It has natural wildflower areas with walking paths, open fields, giant weeping willows, etc. I remember when we moved to Chicago over 5 years ago, and we didn't live near Winnema then but happened up on it and was so amazed by what parks the city had to offer. The only "negative" is that now with young children, the playground area is, compared to other spots like Welles, River, Hamlin, Walsh, etc., pretty dated, small, and basic. But really, that's nitpicking, and not enough to detract from a truly 5 star park

Been coming here riding my bike thru the park for 12 + years. Generally safe , always clean and active w kids and neighborhood folk. Its a co-op arrangement w a local high school. Well done Chicago!

Great place for recreation, good fun for adults, kids, and pets. Bird watchers delight in the nature reserved areas.

Extraordinary park in the city with entwined trails and little nature jelly. They likewise have a jungle gym, baseball fields, tennis courts and seats. Decent quieting air where loads of various individuals come to home base, walk, and outing.

One of the most beautiful parks in Chicago. Huge willow trees with great shade for picnics. A nature trail with many little creatures and flowers. Baseball fields and biking trails, all within one park.
