It has benches to sit, doggy bag areas with trash cans. Two separate areas for dogs. The wild kid and the shy or small dogs. Nice little walk from the parking lot. I would say it is medium size for a dog park. Alot of mud in the fall/winter. Pictures showed grass on Google. Clean, nice people there.

Wynetka Dog Park is overall a great place to take your dog. There are two sections (one currently closed to allow for grass regrowth), the sections are large, so many dogs can be inside at a time and you have plenty of room to throw a ball. There are drinking fountains and dog dishes. In the center is a covered pavillion for a place for dog parents to sit. The side that is currently open had moist dirt after it rained, the only grass is towards the perimeter where it looks like some owners have neglected to pick up after their dogs. They are solving the moist dirt by closing the off one side to allow grass growth. There are multiple stations with dog poo bags and receptacles. There is also a walking trail should you decide you want some exercise too or take your dog on its own excursion. I went the day after it rained. Most people walked on the cinder walking trail likely due to the moist dirt (and one person commented lack of time), but still someone brought three dogs inside the dog park. It is a little walk from the parking lot to the fenced in dog section. Port-a-potty by the parking lot. It looks like someone used the patk as a hangout spot as there was some trash in the parking lot: box from cans and aluminum cans left on the ground. I have been to this parking lot before and the parking lot was clean and seems cared for overall and it still is by park staff responding to reviews. It is a great spot nuzzled into the city to have available to walk your dog(s).

It is a good size with two separate areas, although one is always closed off or has been whenever we have gone there. I believe they rotate back and forth between them being open. Everyone has been friendly when we have gone. In the past the park was pretty dirty with dog poop that people didn't pick up. This last time seemed better. There weren't too many people/dogs when we went. It didn't seem very busy. It has enough parking.

It's nice to have an off- leash dog park close by! The park is always well maintained and is a great way for us to let our pups run! The water fountain is nice as it's hot sometimes and our pups can get a drink and cool off. My only suggestion is to possibly add another tree or two for more shade, but otherwise, it's a good time for families and their furry friends!

Joyful little winding trail that's decorated with a small pond on the side. It also leads into a fun leash free dog park on the side but if you don't want to do that, you can take your pup around the mile-ish trail and head back out. Takes about 45 min if you take the walk real slow.
