Nice place to walk the dogs. Lots of waterfowl. Depending on the time of year you can see ducks, geese and even the occasional heron.

Good parking for walking the Greenbelt Also a small lake to fish.

The park itself is pretty basic, but very beautiful and serene surrounded by fields and trees, with a creek flowing along the paved walking path. There are mostly nice townsfolk walking about, with their dogs or children, or runners, and lots of neighborhood kids riding bikes. If it had water fountains and more trees I'd give it a five star, but I really got no complaints.

It's so nice that the Owensboro Park's staff spared the rose mallow when they mowed the lake's bank this year. It's a beautiful native plant that is endangered in some areas. We are fortunate to have it in the park and fortunate to have a wonderful parks department.

Great little walking park. The entrance can be hard to find, as it is in a subdivision. They're is a scenic forest trail that takes you through the woods, and out into a picnic area by the lake.
