Read more about The Schaumburg Park DistrictGreat trails and so many ducks! Very clean and well-maintained park that has easy and picturesque trails for all activity levels.
Read more about Vera Meineke Nature Center at Spring ValleyBeautiful naturally wooded land with wide well maintained gravel trails, & wooden bridges over wetland areas. Well cared for by Schaumburg Park District. Love how this small natural area was preserved to enjoy in amongst the suburban housing sprawl. Bicycles aren't allowed, & it is a great place to walk your dog on a leash, go for a peaceful stroll in the woods, or do a little bird or butterfly watching. Has a large field dedicated to the migrating Monarch butterflys. Take care about you or your dog stepping off the side of the trails though, as it is a natural area, that's a good way to pick up ticks (speaking from experience, Lol).
