Took my daughter there to compete in here first USA Triathlon. The park is excellent. Clean with an open feeling, yet safe. The lakeside is beautiful. Peaceful. Clean bathroom facilities and covered areas by the picnic areas.

Read more about EASTTOWN PARKBeautiful! Hopefully the city does not ever ruin this one like they did river walk dog park. For those traveling, you need a code to get in. I believe you can still get a day pass from the city of Des Moines. Not 100% on that, but well worth it if you can. There's plenty of space outside the dog park if you have any trouble getting a day pass. If the squirrels are out and your pup is a hunter.....good luck getting them to leave.
