What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
My dog, Howl, and I love spending time at this park since it is close to where we reside. Compared to the Cedar Falls park it is very spacious and has a lot more shade. However, the space isn't necessarily very people friendly. The only bathroom is a porta potty, and the water source at the park isn't conveniently located. There are no restrictions regarding spaying/neutering your dogs, which can be problematic at times. You can get an annual pass for $15 at Waterloo City Hall. Otherwise, the entry fee is $2 per day. Overall, it is a decent place to spend time with your furry friend.
Read more about Pat Bowlsby Off-Leash Dog ParkI take my German shepherd here almost everyday and she appsolutly loves it. The people are usually really great and super friendly, and their pets are the same. There is usually a decent crowd, especially 1-2 hours before it gets dark. The park is a good size, needs some newer wood chips and has some bare spots in the grass, but it doesn't bother me much. Has a bathroom for thr people and water fountains for the pups. Big and small dogs welcomed, there is a separate spot for people with small dogs if they feel overwhelmed. Over all I think it's a pretty great place.
