I really do love this park. It feels safe. It has good walking paths. The scenery is beautiful. There's never really trash laying around. Everyone is nice and friendly. However, I think it's sad that dogs can no longer go on the grassy fields that aren't used as often for sports like the turf fields are. Apparently it's because people don't pick up after their dogs but I see plenty of dog waste all throughout the other grassy areas and even on the sidewalks. An open field would be great for us to run around with our dogs on longer leads especially considering how many more apartments are going up and there's not many places for dogs to run. I hate the fact that the boardwalk has been closed for over a year and doesn't appear to be getting fixed. And I don't like that the story book walk through had to be taken down.

...and nobody felt the need to post that the lake has been drained? Bought our Lab from Sorenson Kennels almost 2 years ago, then moved from the area. This park was awesome, but now just an open field. Disappointing.

(Oct, 24) The awesome St. Charles County Parks Department organized a guided "Bird-Walk" at Quail Ridge Park. We attended and it was very enjoyable and informative. We happened to have a beautiful day, and saw many species of birds. Our guides were providing all kinds of information about the birds, there habitat, food sources, etc. It was very enjoyable. We have enjoyed MANY of the programs of the St. Charles County Parks Department. We think we have the BEST Parks department around . . . . and the BEST PARKS.

Great place foe your pup to run wild for a while. Completely fenced in and the must be 5 or more acreas for them to go nuts. We stopped to let our Golden burn off two days of being stuck in the car and she was whooped after 20 minutes. The locals welcomed us and her. Thanks for that.
