What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
Beautiful park. I took my dog to the “large” dog park. It’s a big fenced space with a few trees and some shade. Note nearly the entire park is on a steep to moderate slope and the entrance is at the top of the hill, so if you want to walk around be prepared to hike down a decent hillside. You can avoid the steepest parts of the hill if you keep to the fence and walk the perimeter. We had a great time stretching our legs and chatting with some locals on our drive through.
Read more about Cornelius Road ParkNice fenced-in dog park .that has a picnic table and little sitting area. It is mostly graveled with not much grass to walk on... My dogs still had a great time. There's a pipe and faucet for the dogs but must have been shut off since no water came out. There was several gallons of water in a nearby storage spot that is filling the bowl evidently. This is strictly for dogs and their handlers... No playground for kids or restrooms. This park also had a walk around trail through the woods that was relaxing and very enjoyable. I certainly would come again when I get a chance and am nearby.
Read more about The Preserve Dog ParkNice big area and a separate place for smaller dogs. There is water and places for the dogs to climb on. Not much poop out. You're going to get some bad humans that don't clean up after thier dogs but for the most part it's clean.
Read more about Academy Street ParkNo water for dogs. Didn't realize this was for an apartment complex. No one cleaned up after thier dogs so poop everywhere. Also there's no structures like in the picture.
