Go-To Park for Free NoMa Festivals This is an excellent park for free community events in the **NoMa** area. You can find it easily—it’s near the SiriusXM building and directly behind the Federal Express facility, with the **Metropolitan Branch Trail (MBT)** as a scenic backdrop. I always enjoy the festivals here, and the recent **\#HomeRule** event was a blast. A quick tip: **street parking is scarce**, but people generally manage. Bring your **blankets and chairs** to secure your spot! --- ## Option 3: A Quick Post/Review Style **NoMa Park Review (Right by the MBT!)** Love catching free community events at this park in **NoMa** (North of Massachusetts Avenue)! It’s easy to find—near SiriusXM and right behind Federal Express, backing up to the **Metropolitan Branch Trail (MBT)**. I recently caught this and #Junkyard band on Stage . #HomeRule festival was a great time. Just a heads-up: **street parking is limited**, but don't let that stop you. Throw a **blanket and chair** in your bag and enjoy

Came for NoMa in Color: Color Jam mural festival finale, a free community party at Alethia Tanner Park. Live music, DJs, art activations, food, drinks, and plenty of colorful murals. Close to NoMa metro station, right by the Metropolitan Branch Trail, great for dog walkers, joggers, and bikers. It’s truly a community center. Relaxing and fun.

Absolutely love this park… the murals are my favorite. They do so many events in the summer, like movie nights. There’s a huge grassy area. The playground is super cute too… Great for little climbers! Just wish they had swings!

Great playground for kiddos of all ages - even my 1-yr-old was able to crawl around on the turf and play on the slide/climber. Lots of grass and open space, plus picnic tables, trash receptacles, water fountains, and a nice clean dog park all in a great location within walking distance of the Union Market area.
