What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
Rock Creek Park is a place for reflection and contemplation. It's our Central Park...or Grant Park. I've always tried to explain to others that parks and ones proximity to them are at a premium in urban areas...and are never to be taken for granted. Rock Creek Park is exceptionally vast in its footprint. You can do what you need to do without the prying eyes of the wanderers. Let the forest lead you. I never move through it without observing it, emersing myself in its purity. It is sublime. And it is yours.
Read more about Rock Creek ParkThis place is great! Mostly good dog owners, and the few times I've seen dogs fight, the owners leave right away. Do not come if your dog is a flight risk, there are no fences and it is in the middle of a huge park. There is just a sign that says "dog park starts here." There is a creek too so prepare for wet, mud, sand, etc.
Read more about Glencarlyn Dog ParkLet’s chat. Atmosphere: 10/10. Cute vibes, nice amount of people without being too busy, and of course, the highlight, dogs. The food was meh. The salad was good; it was cold and crisp with the right amount of dressing. However, the pizza was a bit of a let down. I am a fan of bar pies but the crust had an odd taste to it (a little floury or just a little off). Good selection of beer. Pricing was good, not too expensive but with the addition of a 5% surcharge, it is a little off in terms of portion vs price but overall good. Service was great. All our servers were very attentive and very kind. If anything, go to have a great conversation with staff. Food: 3/5 (average) Portion Size: 4/5 (good) Pricing: 3.5/5 (above average) Service: 4/5 (good) Atmosphere: 4/5 (good) Overall: 3.5/5 (above average)
