This hilltop is a fenced-in area for off-leash dogs. it is one of the best off-leash areas around. from what I can understand from the signs, it is part of Bellevue memorial Park, but it is maintained and kept up with private donations that go through a volunteer board. The approaching paths are kept salted with Pet Safe salt in the winter, The parts that would get muddy have lots of wood chips thrown down, there are new trees planted, places to sit, and a crowd of dogs and their people who feel extremely protective of this very good place. I believe that it closes at sunset and opens at sunrise, like the rest of the park. The closest parking lot is right off of Bellevue Ave, right next to the highway, where the land hockey rink is. The rest of the park has walking paths for exercise and health, which are a nice little walk for a leashed dog. there is another parking lot, with its own entrance, which you could park at to give your dog a 5-minute walk between the woods and the car. by its nature in the suburbs, though the park itself is very walkable, the surrounding area is not. It is low density suburb, with a highway running through it. You will probably be visiting this by car.

10/10 BEST dog park I have been to in the Pittsburgh area. There is a parking lot down by the hockey rink and a short walk will get you to the entrance. The dogs love to feel like they are running free in the woods. The pool is great feature for the pups to cool down! The pool has a running waterfall and I believe there is a filter of some sort.

What a lovely dog park! We went on a snowy morning so it wasn't busy but it can get quite busy. It's very large and with small wooded area dogs have more interesting things to do than get into kerfuffles among them. There is always water available for the dogs and chairs for the owners. People are respectful and always keep an eye on their dogs. We'll likely go back when we are in the area!

One of the best dog parks I've ever seen. Lots of room to run around and plenty of trees to stop and sniff. The water feature is just the cherry on top. Everyone is friendly and there's plenty of chairs and benches to sit down at. Wonderful place and I truly appreciate all the hard work the volunteers put in to keep it up and running.

This park has been so great for myself and my dog. A puppy now of 9 months. Most of us really watch our dogs, separating them, throwing a toy to change their attention when things are too intense. It is maintained very well. The best part is it's close to me. I prefer the morning group. In the winter it will probably be the lunchtime group.
