Ben Brenman Park in Alexandria, Virginia, is a true hidden gem that beautifully blends natural beauty with modern recreational amenities. Spanning over 59 acres, the park offers something for everyone—whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or an active day outdoors. The centerpiece of the park is its serene pond, which is often surrounded by ducks and geese, offering a picturesque backdrop for walking or simply relaxing on a bench. The paved walking and biking trails are ideal for casual strolls or morning jogs, weaving through shaded areas and open fields. The well-maintained landscaping, seasonal blooms, and large mature trees make every visit scenic and calming. Families love the playground, which is clean and spacious, while pet owners appreciate the dog-friendly environment and nearby trails. There’s also a large athletic field and a well-kept baseball diamond, making it a great spot for sports practices or pickup games. One of the park’s unique strengths is its peacefulness. Despite being near the busy Cameron Station neighborhood, it never feels overcrowded. There's ample parking, restrooms, and even picnic areas that make it easy to spend an entire afternoon there. In the fall, the colorful foliage makes the park exceptionally photogenic. Whether you're visiting solo, with kids, pets, or friends, Ben Brenman Park offers a perfect blend of urban convenience and natural escape. It's a must-visit if you're in Alexandria and looking to recharge or enjoy the outdoors in a quiet, scenic setting.

This is a scenic and peaceful park in the Cameron Station area of Alexandria. I have driven/biked past it on Duke St. many times. I decided to stop because there are some late 18 century wooden ships raised in Alexandria during construction and moved to the pond for preservation. I never saw the ships but, WOW, this is a hidden gem.

Beautiful park near a creek with lake and restrooms. A bridged walkway across the lake with gazebo in the middle, which is perfect for watching fish, many turtles and waterfowl. (Please don't feed!) Dog park across the bridge to the east also has covered pavillions and volleyball. Plentiful park benches and picnic tables throughout and a nice playground. Also, nice soccer and baseball fields, paved and gravel walking trails. My only wish is that there was more parking.

This is a beautiful place for kids to play, walk around, enjoy the fresh air, and watch the fish and turtles in the water — a truly relaxing experience.
