This is a nice dog park with lots of obstacles that my pup enjoyed. There are two separate fenced areas - one for large dogs and another for small dogs. It seems most don't know it is here, so no other dogs around. But good amenities (water, agility obstacles, benches) that make for a fun time for your dog

Ben Brenman Park in Alexandria, Virginia, is a true hidden gem that beautifully blends natural beauty with modern recreational amenities. Spanning over 59 acres, the park offers something for everyone—whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or an active day outdoors. The centerpiece of the park is its serene pond, which is often surrounded by ducks and geese, offering a picturesque backdrop for walking or simply relaxing on a bench. The paved walking and biking trails are ideal for casual strolls or morning jogs, weaving through shaded areas and open fields. The well-maintained landscaping, seasonal blooms, and large mature trees make every visit scenic and calming. Families love the playground, which is clean and spacious, while pet owners appreciate the dog-friendly environment and nearby trails. There’s also a large athletic field and a well-kept baseball diamond, making it a great spot for sports practices or pickup games. One of the park’s unique strengths is its peacefulness. Despite being near the busy Cameron Station neighborhood, it never feels overcrowded. There's ample parking, restrooms, and even picnic areas that make it easy to spend an entire afternoon there. In the fall, the colorful foliage makes the park exceptionally photogenic. Whether you're visiting solo, with kids, pets, or friends, Ben Brenman Park offers a perfect blend of urban convenience and natural escape. It's a must-visit if you're in Alexandria and looking to recharge or enjoy the outdoors in a quiet, scenic setting.

My go to for relaxing in the grass, enjoying fresh air and beautiful river scenery. My heart is always filled because of all the cultures represented. We're all out here peacefully enjoying the same thing. Then I walk to the Torpedo Factory to take in the latest artwork.
