Beautiful park! Tranquil and serene with a lot of trails through woods and over babbling streams. Open green fields ringed by majestic pecan trees and peppered with benches to just sit a contemplate life. Squirrel heaven. Just lovely.

Absolutely loved this park. Wished I could have explored more here but was pressed for time. Walked the Prairie Trail but once the pavement ended, it turned into a nature trail that I lost shortly after the signage. Surrounding trails were very well maintained. Playground was nice. Saw the donkeys as well.

This place is gorgeous, smaller trails & longer to accommodate everyone. Mostly pavement but able to go off to the side for some gravel / rocky ones. This is a LEASHED park & they have signs about reporting off leash dogs. So if you’re looking for an off leash hike, this isn’t the right park for you. Obviously, there’s lots of tall grass. We saw a rattlesnake on the side of the trail, so just be aware of your surroundings during prime snake time.

Excellent place to camp with kids. I stayed here with my daughters, and they had a great time. The amenities were clean and well maintained, and getting firewood was quick and easy. The walking paths were simple, safe, and perfect for kids. The camp host, James, was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Peaceful, well-run park and a fantastic family-friendly camping spot. I’ll definitely be back.

Saw 2 kinds of herons, a duck and a snake swimming in the lake. The trail around the lake has some beautiful views. Primitive campsites further away look neat, would like to camp there. A long paved trail ends with a nice loop trail going close to the creek.
