This has always been the start of nice and memorable beach experience for me. The place can get crowded, so arrive early. The free parking is a huge plus. This is a very serene park with picnic areas, a beautiful ocean facing deck with tables (perfect for watching the Sun rise). There's a couple of shower points to wash the sand off when leaving.

Not great for swimming and wading. Shelf rocks line the coast and are dangerous. However if you only plan to walk the shore, lay in the sun, and relax by the ocean the beach is just fine! Not very crowded and quite peaceful.

Beautiful and clean beach! Come during march through Oct and stay up late to see sea turtles make their nests and get up early watch NASA launch rockets!

Outstanding so relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful site and view of the beach we enjoyed it.

Beach is great BUT there is coral in shallow water making swimming difficult. If you're looking for a Non-coral beach go a bit further down to Patadise beach. That beach is great and no coral in the shallow waters.
