The most popular feature if this 74 acre park is the 1.5 mile paved path which connects to Barathaven Park. There is also "prairie in progress" and a soccer field. The parking is adequate with accessible space which can access the paved path. This park is along Dardenne Creek, but it is out of sight without access. There is no shade nor seating. The only restroom is a portable one. I did walk under the road to snap a couple of photos of Dardenne Creek.

🗺 Dardenne Greenway - BaratHaven #️⃣ Greenway 9 of 28 🚴 4.5 mile loop ☀️ 0% Shaded 📈 9/10 📝 Gorgeous greenway! One of my new favorites. I used to live nearby and my wife and I would run around the lake, but I didn’t know that the greenway extended beyond the lake until today. It’s funny, because the lake isn’t even my favorite part – there’s a prairie across the street at Bluebird Meadow Park that is stunning. There’s not a lot of signage, but if you’re at the parking lot by the lake and go right, you’ll soon come upon a fork – left to go around the lake and right to go to the prairie. I liked the prairie so much that I did two laps! The greenway itself doesn’t really have any shade, but there’s another short trail beyond the soccer field that is shaded. There’s also a short nature trail that goes through the woods and by the creek, but it’s washed out and dangerous. I’d recommend sticking to the lake and the prairie. Bonus: with the big sky of the prairie and the reflections on the lake, sunsets here are beautiful!

Beautiful prairie loop and (adjacent) lake loop with paved trails and picturesque sunrise / sunset foregrounds. The lake loop is accessed via a trail that goes west and passes under Henning Road. The prairie loop is accessed via a long straight out-and-back from the car park. I encountered very friendly patrons of the trails, with respectful dog walkers and a few runners. Total mileage for the prairie out-and-back with loop was approximately 1.5 mile.

1st time on the course. Great place to golf. Everything was well maintained. Even though it was in the middle of a neighbor hood, no real worry about hitting a house they were kept well off the course.

No shade but more of a level, paved walking/biking path that people use mostly for easy exercise or walking their dog. The central area is a prairie in progress. The path connects under an overpass to Bharathaven Park and its trail around the small lake there, if you wish to extend your walk. Nice. My favorite is the exercise trail.
