Buchanan Park

This is a large city park with a paved path running the length of it. The dog park is popular, there's a side of small dogs and large dogs. It has great hills for sledding in the winter and a shallow wading pool that runs in the summer. There is one pavilion near the playground. It has one of the longer slides my kids have enjoyed. On the other side of the playground are basketball and tennis courts. There is free street parking around the perimeter. We also enjoy the big open field there, it's great for flying kites. One of my children's favourite things there are two large black stones that they slide down. These can be found in the West side of the park, along Race Avenue. There are also some monuments, a rose garden, and a composting receptacle. The restrooms aren't always unlocked.

A very nice and beautiful little park. There's playground, swings (with swings for a baby too), huge slide, pavilion, tennis courts, and basketball courts. There are bathrooms there but can never rely on them. The doors are always locked up. There are a few nice open fields too for running around or for a game of football or soccer.

Wonderful off leash dog park that is fenced in and has a separate big and small dog area with a water feature in the summer and very well maintained.

Great park! We really only go here for the events here, such as the Vegfest. It's a well maintained park, fairly large, has a playground and bathrooms, and is good overall. The Vegfest is a great event though!! Check out the events here, and maybe the park itself if there's no events!
