The park is nice but very outdated and in need of renovation. Light poles are rusted through, the pool has been abandoned and empty for years. The restrooms are usually pretty gross. They keep the grass mowed well. The skate park is OK. Lots of e-bike riders constantly riding through and the occasional motorcycle/dirt-bike driving around the park.

I love this park. Big and spacious. The park offers basketball courts, kids play area, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, add a skateboard park. I fly my drones there. Green and beautiful and possibly the best part they have free Wi-Fi and they have a filtered water fountain with even the nozzle to refill your bottles.

Very scenic park that is easily accessible from California Oaks Rd. Multiple facilities to include a public swimming pool, two full basketball courts, sand volleyball, skate park, tennis courts, and several baseball fields. There are also multiple restaurants and fast food places in very close proximity for times when you need to refuel after a day of athletic activity. The restrooms at the park (located in vicinity of the pool) are a tad bit above average in terms of cleanliness compared to some of the other municipal parks/sports centers, but still nothing worth writing home about. Parking is available in either in the park facility or a long California Oaks Rd. (except during certain special events or other city activities, in which case temporary no parking signs will be posted).

I live within walking distance to this park. It’s a nice big park. There’s even a Boys & Girls Club on the site. It’s got a large playground equipment area. Two big baseball ⚾️ diamonds. Basketball 🏀 courts. A nice parking lot, with easy access from Lincoln off of Cal Oaks. Nice Big sturdy shade trees 🌳 Plenty of grass. Which they are currently in the process of having restored. That’s a Good thing. What I don’t get …. Is WHY IS THE POOL GREEN??? Why is it closed? The County of Riverside closed it???? That’s clearly what the sign says. There’s no date of origin of when the county closed it. There’s no listed reasons why it was closed. Soooo I went to the website. The Murrieta, California Sports Park area of the parks and recreation for Murrieta. It says Opening MID JULY!!!! Again another big hmmmmm. It was already past July 20, 2023 when I was looking at the website. I waited till the Monday of the next week. Maybe they had to wait for a part? To fix the pool equipment?? Monday July 24, 2023 I called. Finally reached an actual human. She transferred me to the head of Parks and Recreation… it was his day off. So I left a voicemail. This is Tuesday 07.25.2023. No return call yet. Interesting enough today, Google asked me to review Murrieta Sports Park. This is my review. I’m looking forward to changing this to a ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ review. Hopefully the pool gets reopened before winter 🥶 arrives. Sure would be nice if the community had a pool. That was cool 😎 and clean and clear.

The Sports park quite literally has it all and definitely does it's name justice! Aside from the MANY Baseball Mounds located throughout the park a field large enough to house Soccer can also be found. Parking closest to Cal Oaks proves quick access to the various Basketball Courts and parking nearest to the school and skatepark makes easy access to the playground available. Bathrooms are usually clean and when it's season the pool is a great spot to cool off. The Playground has 2 units. One intended for 2-5 years old and the other 5-12. I was pleased to find many children and a variety of ages visiting. While the park itself is a show stopped plan to check the community website as this location is also a hot spot for almost all events.(The Murrieta Birthday Bash is one to claim!!)
