I love this town common! Lately they have been planting trees. There are lots of statues, a fountain, benches, paths, events, playground.

Nice park to walk through. It is clean and there are monuments to view. There is a playground on one side of the common, and a nice ball field towards the middle of the common. Typically a good amount of people use this space on a regular basis.

CAMPAGNONE COMMON -A Public Park- is 17.5 acres of open space, in the heart of the city. The main entrance, on Common Street features THE ROBERT FROST FOUNTAIN. The COMMON has trees, grass, flowers, walking paths, benches, water fountains, a modern playground, fixed seating and tables for playing dominoes and other games, a baseball field, and an outdoor stage. The paths are lined with historic monuments, including The Strikers' Monument. It's dedicated to the Lawrence Textile Mill workers, who in 1912 won better wages and working conditions during the so-called BREAD and ROSES STRIKE.

My autistic grandson loves this park and playground. We are able to keep an wye on him and keep him safe since it is fenced in with 2 openings. Unfortunately, there are no gates that close, and there was a lot of trash on the playground despite many trash barrels. There is also no restrooms. The other families were very friendly and helpful. The park has many trees and walking or bike path, a stage area and a few picnic tables that are always full.

the common is always great. geese have more or less taken it over, as is their right, but it provides a very needed cool, shady, and FREE hangout spot to the people Lawrence. this park is one of the best maintained in the city and there is almost always something happening! food vendors, daycare/summer camp groups, city-led festivals, and so on. lots of different use areas to sit, eat, hang with friends, and most importantly lots of beautiful trees!
