We really like the canova beach dog park! It’s a great beach to enjoy with your dog Miley, although she is often bothered by dogs running towards her without a leash on. The rules do state that dogs must be leashed, but most visitors do not seem to care about that rule. Just be aware of that and it’s all good! The beach itself is beautiful and it is long enough to find a spot to sit without too many dogs around. We come here once a month at least.

The beach was lovely, especially getting there early around 8 a.m.—free parking and quick, easy access made for a smooth start to the day. Yes, there are some homeless individuals in the area, but they kept to themselves, and during my visit, the beach was clean and well-maintained. The only downside was the texture of the sand in the water. It was filled with broken tiny shells, which made it a bit uncomfortable on the feet compared to soft, smooth sand. My dogs had a great time! It wasn’t too crowded in the morning, and everyone else with dogs had them either on leash or off-leash but under control. It felt peaceful and relaxing, despite the surrounding area. The water was pretty rough that day, so I didn’t do much swimming, but overall, it was a great experience.

Many people don’t clean up after their dogs or themselves bottles, cans wrappers etc. A big problem is people don’t tend to their own pets try going down there and play with your dog at the waters edge and people will let their dogs come up and join in your mix expecting you to play with their dog while they sit on their rear end don’t say a word to you’re yelling for someone to come get their pet. A lot of inconsiderate dog owners go to this beach I need to learn to be considerate that people aren’t coming there to take care of their dogs they’re coming there for their own enjoyment and for you to put off your responsibility makes you an awful pet owner

This dog beach was absolutely perfect. Clean bath house, doggy rinse area, not crowded, friendly undercontrol dogs, clean beach. Absolutely no complaints. We had a blast.

Amazing beach spot for dogs! Very clean. Great for lounging or running at the shore.
