Cantigny Park at Christmas transforms into a truly magical winter wonderland, offering an experience that is both awe-inspiring and deeply romantic. As you step onto the grounds, thousands of twinkling lights illuminate the trees, pathways, and gardens, creating a warm glow against the crisp winter air. Every turn reveals another beautifully designed light display, making the walk through the park feel like a peaceful, storybook journey meant to be savored slowly, hand in hand.
The atmosphere is perfect for couples and families alike. Strolling beneath the shimmering lights, you can pause to enjoy a cup of rich, steaming cocoa that warms your hands and adds to the cozy charm of the evening. Laughter and soft music fill the air, blending seamlessly with the sparkle of the season. Nearby, ice skating adds an extra touch of classic holiday joy, as skaters glide gracefully across the ice, surrounded by festive lights and cheerful onlookers.
One of the highlights of the evening is the stunning McCormick House, beautifully decorated and glowing with elegance. Its historic charm feels even more special during the holidays, offering a glimpse into the past while perfectly complementing the festive setting. The Cantigny Museum also adds depth to the visit, inviting reflection and appreciation amid the celebration.
Overall, Cantigny Park’s Christmas light show is breathtakingly beautiful. It’s an unforgettable experience filled with romance, wonder, and holiday spirit—perfect for creating lasting memories on a winter night.

Just gorgeous every season. We went recently for homecoming pictures and the fall flower arrangements were stunning. Every twist and turn as you walk through is unique and perfectly landscaped. It's easy to get lost here for hours. Their Christmas lights and activities are great too!

It's an amazing place to visit for the price. The well kept gardens & water features are spectacular! Most trees, shrubs & flowers were marked. There's many shaded areas with seating available. Nice walkways. And swings tied up on large branches. There's a small cascading water feature that kids can walk into to get their feet wet 😊
Then there's the military museum you can walk through - just amazing! And tanks outside for display.
Plenty of parking. You play " per car" for entry. There's a nice indoor cafe to get some water, soda, beer, coffee, sandwiches, salads, etc.
And many nights they have bands playing for entertainment with a beer garden. We didn't stay for that, but will on another day. And I believe the park is run by all volunteers....

Loved the theme of "Wicked" for the experience! Listening to the music from the movies and the choreographed displays while walking thru the park was breathtaking! Add the smell of fires burning, the fresh snow, and the laughter of children - and i was transported to my childhood in MN.
My only feedback was that there were areas that didn't get cleared, so they were inaccessible to the public. As they were listed in the attraction, I was disappointed to not be able to experience them. Especially when there was nothing at the beginning letting us know that parts were closed.

Well it was my first time coming, but there were others who grew up coming to Cantigny park. I learned a lot of history about the owner and his two wives we got to see the burial ground. The property the land has been maintained for years and it is beautiful. The only thing we were not able to see what's inside of the mansion maybe another time. And the next time we will be able to go see the museum. With my hip surgery having just passed we took it slow and we were able to see everything and its beauty.
