Great park but it has lots of trash. People do not pick up their dog poop. The park is also a spot for drug users and alcohol drinkers. Really not safe for children because of the broken bottles.

We like the splash pad. However, the mushroom shaped water fall was very wobbly and looked like it was coming out of the ground. We were afraid it was going to fall on the kids. I did place a call to parks and rec so they know.

It's a very large park with 2 separate play areas for the kids. I took my (soon to be 4 years old) little girl today. When we first arrived, I noticed a lady sitting at a picnic table close to the playground, she was overly dressed for the weather, holding a beer and she held something up to her mouth and held a lighter to it (not a cigarette) There were about 4 other kids playing and they were with their grandmother's. They were well behaved and everyone was friendly. Within 10 minutes a man walked up to the woman sitting down, started yelling and swearing and carrying on like a disrespectful piece of trash. The grandmother's quickly took the kids and I quickly grabbed my little girl. It's sad that people have suck little respect for others. I'll stay in the suburbs where I belong.

Park would be so much better if people would clean up after themselves and the city would maintain the play grounds.

For the Lorain city area, this is a very decent park. Compared to most parks in Lorain it is moderately well kept, but compared to parks in surrounding communities like Avon and Amherst, it’s pretty dumpy—lots of trash every time we go and some equipment is dated and in disrepair. However, it’s a fairly large park that can suite a variety of ages. So all things considered, it’s decent.
