Entry is free and available 365 days a year. We used the south entrance at 3310 Collins Road. There is a large parking area inside the gate, but there is also parking outside the gate for days they are closed. We hiked north up to fishermans trail and across to the river ending at the end of Confluence trail where the two rivers meet. It's an easy hike, nice trails, and well marked. We will be back yo hike some of the other trails.

The trails are expansive and marked well so you can hike or bike all day and never get lost. (There is a separate bike trail.) It's a lowland area so think twice about going after a heavy rain. The area is certified as "Bird City" or something like that by The Audubon Society. It's a great place for birdwatching.

Great outdoor area to explore some nature. Definitely nature so you might see wildlife. I saw deer squirrels and a snake. So be aware. However don’t be hesitant to visit. It is worth the hike

Great local trail. We chose to hike the wetlands trail, and it definitely was wet. Glad we wore our water proof hiking shoes for this trail, because it is a must a few days after a rain. All in all, took an hour to walk that trail. Not a challenging hike at all. Great scenery and wildlife. Looking forward to coming back and trying the other trails. Can’t wait to bring the kids out here when it’s a dry, sunnier, and full of lush green flora!

First time there today. Was able to park for free which is great. Off the beaten trail (not on a main road) which is also good. The trails were mostly cleared, slightly squishy but not impassable. There were birds, butterflies, lots of nature. Tons of native plants. Part in the blazing sun, part in the shade of the trees. Part runs up against a large canal/stream/whatever. There were a few cars and a couple people i saw walking. No crazy traffic noise. I was able to hear nothing but nature when I was in my walk and I absolutely loved that. Will definitely be visiting again.
