Just over the bridge from downtown Danville. Take a right and look for a place to park that has access to the Riverwalk. There's a bunch. Riverwalk itself is a smooth trail suitable for walking, jogging, pushing a stroller. Even great for wheelchairs, which is what I use. Never seen it crowded, always leisurely flow of all kinds of people that say hello to people as they pass. A real gem of a hidden retreat so close to downtown. Has picking tables and park benches in case you want to read or enjoy a picnic. Plenty of access to get close to the river discover great views. Lots families and well behaved dogs on leash. Been there many times and always have an enjoyable time with absolutely no negative issues. Check it out.
Could use a little cleaning. I definitely advise you bring your own water. The atmosphere is relaxing during the evening, but it's ok to go anytime for a nature recharge. We went fishing at the worst time but the little one still caught something. 🐠
Very nice long , beautiful and easy walk, bicycle riding or jogging trail.
Such a beautiful and peaceful walk. My family and I enjoyed it.
Nice place for walk and seating down to look at the river but the waters are very brown here
