What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
Our extended family drove through the park's Christmas Lights display which they have each year. Previously, you would walk through the park, but now you pay a per-car fee of $10 and drive. It's a bit more enjoyable riding because you don't need to care about the weather. Each set of lights is put up by an organization. You can vote on a winner if you like. We just enjoy seeing them all. However, it's pretty obvious some organizations put a LOT more effort than others (#DollarStoreTrinkets) 🙄🤔
Read more about Ballou ParkCool place to catch a game! Good amount of shade in the stands. Free parking. Reasonably priced concessions and merchandise. Home of the Danville Braves, who are currently on the chopping block with MLB’s proposal to eliminate 40 mi or league baseball teams.
Read more about Danville American Legion FieldD.D. Memorial Park is a great place to visit. The Memorial site is a great tribute to vets and covers all of America's past wars. The wall and bricks along the walkway are just like the DC and New Orleans sites.. There is Picnic areas playground and baseball field as well. It is very professionally done and maintained. The park is a great tribute to the former congressman who represented Danville and the district in the good old days of bi-partisan politics. Great job City of Danville in representing Vets and a well loved politician. Keep up the good work! If you're traveling thru Danville don't miss it as it's right off the 58E bypass.
