How this area got listed on Google Maps as an actual place is beyond me. It’s simply an open pit in between a residential and industrial area in Portland. There’s no parking lot. There are no signs identifying this as a property that you can legally walk on. No restrooms. No running water. It’s not any different than any other piece of property owned by the city of Portland along a road. Nothing special here other than the random work of art embedded in the hillside. See photos. My opinion is this should be deleted off Google maps. Luna and I walked around the property extensively trying to find a reason to like this place. I was a little frustrated we took time out of our day to come here.

Cool little park in the rough of a post industrial wasteland part of Portland (swan island area). It makes for a killer sunset but one look down at the river and you are reminded of Oregon's most TOXIC Superfund site. Oh well tho. The wildflowers are plentiful and it's a little but of habitat remediation for an area that so sorely deserves it. I can't find an official listing that it's a city sanctioned dog park so I keep my pup on lease and we walk the trails. The homeless people camping here have for the most part left me alone. There is trash left out but it's not that bad and if the city cared they would out a dumpster or trash cans here to keep it cleaner. I kind of think of this place as a little peaceful strip in an otherwise gloomy part of town and that is something to be TRULY cherished.

Pit bull attack around 8am this morning. The man was released from the hospital this afternoon. Three pit bulls attacked him and his dogs. The injured dogs are still at the vet awaiting surgeries and the bill has already exceeded 6k. These dogs have been seen walked off leash in the surrounding area in recent months. Be very cautious when bringing your dogs here.

Great little spot to let the pup run/explore. Careful going down the hills- it gets slippery/ muddy & is not maintained. Great wildflowers in the spring

This is a very nice off leash dog park if you're looking for a quiet place to hangout with your dogs. Not too many people know about this place, so don't expect your normal busy off leash dog parks. I personally love the views here and the solitude... plus, it is a great spot to enjoy the sunset!
