The park itself is absolutely lovely and the dog park is well kept but extremely poorly designed. The ONLY shade is directly in the center of the park where there are two picnic tables under a small awning. Otherwise there's NOTHING: no trees, no water bowls, and despite what one reviewer stated it is really not particularly large (at least not by big dog standards). For most people you're better off just walking your dog around the residential areas in Urbana - at least there's some shade...
Area needs to be dragged to remove rocks Would also be great to have a water fountain to fill up dog bowls.
Not nearly as good as the Ballenger Creek dog park facilities.
